Belle's Toll (Demo)

The princess of Ryzelia finds herself confined at the top of a tower, imprisoned by seditionists who wish to use her status for political gain. Her best bet to escaping is, of course... to partner up with her captor?!

Follow Mirabelle, a princess who isn't quite a damsel in distress, and Galahad, a magic knight whose actions are as unreadable as his countenance, in this enemies to lovers (or enemies to enemies) tale where they work together to descend a tower.

• About 5-10 minutes of playtime in the current demo, shorter if you're really good at puzzles
• Original visual assets
• An interactable setting in side-scroller view, where you solve a puzzle every once in a while
• Witty banter between a girl who has suppressed her humour all her life to pretend to be dainty and elegant vs a guy whose biting sarcasm is supposedly colder than his surname
• An attempt at writing a politically charged plot

• This game is made for Otome Jam 2024, and due to time constraints and real life commitments was unable to be finished. It's aimed to be finished sometime this year, hopefully.
• This is my first actual attempt at making a game, so it's very likely that it will have plenty of bugs. Please tell me about them!
• There is a bug that screws things up when you press multiple keys at the same time, particularly PageUp and PageDown. I do not know how to fix this yet. Please just refrain from doing it for now, for your own sake.
• I'll be doing minor polishing to this page as I go, this entire textwall was whipped up while running on like no sleep lol.
